The words "renewable energy" sound increasingly more in the economic and social development. The need for alternatives to oil, with a possible shortage, or their prices ever higher, and the feeling of fighting climate change have led governments of different countries is seeking to overturn the "clean" energy : wind, solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, biomass and biofuels are some of the factors on which further studies are underway and progress. On March 9, leaders of the governments of the European Union, meeting in Brussels (See hotels in Brussels), agreed that by 2020, 20% of the energy consumed in the European territory were from renewable sources , and that biofuels accounted for 10% of fuels used in transport.
